This Gurdwara is situated at a distance of 5 Km Southeast of Barnala City in Village Pharwahi.
The Ninth Sikh Guru, Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji visited this place in 1665 during his journey of Malwa region. Guru Ji came from Village Kattu and stayed here for a Night. Next Morning, when Guru Ji was about to leave the Village, the Villagers requested Guru Ji to leave one of his disciples to preach them. Guru Ji said that such a person would arise from the Village itself.
The Villagers believe that Bhai Sobha Singh, who constructed the Gurdwara in 1750 and preached Sikhism, was the devoted person about whom Guru Ji had predicted.
