Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji came to Village Dhilwan from Sohiwal Dhab and he stayed here for several months during his travels in the Malwa region. It is believed that during Guru Ji's stay over here there was an eclipse and large number of people had gathered. They were impressed with Guru Ji and many of them became his followers. Guru Ji sat here in contemplation. Guru Ji also arranged a free community meal for people who came to see him. He also distributed 101 cows among the poor. From here Guru Ji moved to Dullamsar. Every year a big religious fair is organized on the occasion of Baisakhi and people from all communities join the occasion.
In the thicket about 2 km northeast of Maur there used to be a pond called "Dulami ki Dhab" where according to the local belief Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji used to come very often for his afternoon ride along the pond from Dhilwan. A shrine was established later near this pond, it came to be called Dullamsar, now called Gurdwara Sahib Patshahi Nauvin . An old narrow well on the mound is traditionally known as "Singhawali Khuhi" on well of the Singhs.
